Hello everyone, Yassi here from OpusFlow. In this video, I will demonstrate how to use our PV Designer. You'll learn how to create a new project, design an installation plan, and generate a quotation. Let's get started!
Creating a New Project within PV Designer
Navigate to the Projects Module:
Go to the "Projects" module and select "All Projects."
Use the blue button to create a new project.
Clicking on the arrow next to the button will give you two options based on the project type. For example, select "residential project."
Fill in Project Information:
On the left side, fill in the contact information.
On the right side, fill in the project details.
If you have an existing contact, select it from the drop-down menu. Otherwise, manually enter the information.
Add Additional Details:
Provide an address and any other necessary details.
You can also write a note for your colleagues or yourself.
Finalize and Create:
Click "Create" to finish.
The software will redirect you to the project page, where you can manage the project through various tabs.
Designing an Effective Installation Plan
Open Your Project:
Go to "Projects" > "All Projects," find your project, and open it.
Navigate to the "Installation Plan" tab and click on "New Installation Plan."
Use PV Designer Tools:
In the PV Designer, the middle section shows satellite imagery.
The left side lists the stages: drawing the roof, adding solar panels, adding an inverter, and generating a quotation.
The right side contains tools like zoom and different satellite imagery options.
Draw the Roof:
Toggle the "Bach" option to see roof limitations.
Click on "Roofs" and choose from freehand, rectangular, or automatic drawing (available only in the Netherlands).
Draw the roof by clicking on corners and using the enter key or double-clicking to finish.
Add Obstacles:
You have three options for obstacles: freehand, circular, and rectangular.
Draw obstacles on the roof by selecting the appropriate option.
Add Solar Panels:
Go to the second stage, choose your substructure and solar panel template.
Add panels by clicking the "Add" button or by dragging to add multiple panels.
Adjust the alignment and position of the panels as needed.
Add an Inverter:
Move to the next stage and click "Add Inverter Group."
Select your inverter and assign solar panels to it by hovering over them.
You can create additional string plans and adjust details as necessary.
Adjust Installation Details:
Use sliders to adjust total efficiency with shadow and installation loss based on environmental factors.
Review these settings to ensure accurate installation planning.
Generating Accurate and Professional Quotations
Create a Quotation:
Move to the final stage and click "Generate Quotation."
The software will take a screenshot and save the installation plan.
Review the Bill of Materials:
Check the list of items, including quantity, name, tax code, price, and total price.
Modify any details as needed, including tax codes and prices.
Add or delete items and descriptions as required.
Set Quotation Details:
Set a due date for the quotation by clicking the respective button.
Adjust the kilowatt-hour price to suit the customer's situation, which will update the ROI.
Save and Send:
Save your changes and prepare to send the quotation to your client.
In the next video, I'll show you how to send an email with access to the customer portal, allowing them to accept or deny the quotation.
Thank you very much for your time, and see you in the next video!
